More informationOur Gift of Education ambassadors are a team of loyal friends of The Leys – OLs, parents, staff, Governors, and members of our Leys Community.
They are enthusiastic supporters of the life-changing opportunities which will be offered by the Gift of Education to talented young people who otherwise would not have the financial means to attend The Leys.
Hi! I’m Rosie, currently a History undergraduate at the University of Durham. I attended The Leys from 2015-2020 and was lucky enough to work on the Gift of Education campaign in the summer of 2021.
People are often surprised when I tell them I went to a boarding school. The first thing they usually say is, “Oh my goodness, how did you find it?” and my response is always the same: “Amazing”.
I was about to pull my son out of the school he was attending and support him with the Education Otherwise programme when I received a letter from The Leys.
Since I attended the School as a pupil, it has been a pleasure to maintain my relationship through the Old Leysian Society Committee (since 1963!).
I think it is important for the Leysian community to open its gates to all those looking to gain so much more than just an academic education, and the Gift of Education campaign does exactly that.
