Cycling is a popular and eco-friendly way to travel to The Leys School. Cambridge is well-known for its extensive network of cycle paths, making it safe and easy for pupils to commute by bike. We provide secure bike storage facilities on campus to ensure bicycles are kept safe during the school day.
Cambridge has an efficient public bus system that connects various parts of the city to The Leys School. Several bus routes stop near the school, offering a convenient option for students who prefer public transport. For pupils traveling from outside Cambridge, the city’s main train station is just a 15-minute walk from The Leys. From the train station, you can take a bus, cycle, or walk to the school.
Cambridge is well-connected to several major airports, including London Stansted, London Heathrow, and London Gatwick. Stansted Airport is the closest, approximately 30 miles away, and offers regular flights to various destinations. From the airport, you can take a train or bus to Cambridge.
From September 2025 we are able to offer a bus service in partnership with St Faith’s.
The service is offered from two locations, terminating at St Faith’s School:
On arrival, pupils will need to walk the 10-minute journey to The Leys.
