Year 7 Entrance Assessments

Please note: From September 2028, Year 7 pupils will be based at the Middle School on the current St Faith’s site. Year 7 applicants should read the recent announcement about the merger with St Faith’s, which affects this entry point.

Applicants for entry in September 2028 and beyond should refer to the St Faith’s website here. No Boarding places will be offered in Year 7 from September 2028.

Applicants for entry in September 2027 should complete the application form here.

Once an application form has been completed, candidates registered for entry to Year 7 in September 2027 will be invited to an on-site assessment day in January 2027 to take part in interviews and group activities, as well as an online assessment in English, Mathematics, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning, Puzzles and Comprehension. The English and Mathematics tests will be broadly in line with the National Curriculum. Early notification is requested if any individual is unable to attend on the specified test date or if the candidate requires special access arrangements.

In addition to the assessment day, a report will be requested from the candidate’s current school. Offers are made in early February.

Please note the different arrangements for candidates applying from overseas; further details can be found here.
