Applying for Year 7

Please note: From September 2028, The Leys and St Faith’s will merge to create a single all-through school for pupils from Early Years to Sixth Form under the name ‘The Leys School, Cambridge’. As a result, all Year 7 pupils joining from September 2028 onwards will be based at the Middle School on the current St Faith’s site. September 2027 will be the final Year 7 intake to join the current site of The Leys. Pupils in this cohort will continue their education on this site throughout their time at the School. Parents considering entry at Year 7 are encouraged to read the recent announcement regarding the merger with St Faith’s and if you have any questions about how these changes may affect your child, please do not hesitate to contact the Admissions team at [email protected].

Applicants for entry in September 2028 and beyond should refer to the St Faith’s website here. No Boarding places will be offered in Year 7 from September 2028.

Applicants for entry in September 2027 should complete the application form below by Friday 6 November 2026.

In addition, we would also like to draw your attention to the following points before proceeding with your application:

• The application form should take 10-15 minutes to complete
• The application form should be completed in one sitting as it cannot be saved for you to return to
• We recommend that the application form is completed using a laptop or PC
• Please have a payment card ready to pay the £200 application fee
• When applicable, details for both parents should be included in the application form
• Parents must upload a copy of their child’s birth certificate and a recent school report, and have the option to share other documents such as a passport and medical/learning support paperwork, so please have these to hand before starting the application form
• If you are a member of teaching staff at The Leys or St Faith’s please contact us as before completing an application form
