The National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) is the most widely recognised lifeguard qualification in the UK and Ireland and a recruitment requirement for a number of jobs within the leisure industry.
On successful completion of the course you will be fully qualified to work as a Pool Lifeguard.
The RLSS UK’s National Pool Lifeguard Qualification is also internationally recognised, which means you can travel and keep working as a pool lifeguard around the world!

All candidates applying for the NPLQ course must meet the pre-requisites detailed below.
The current price for the NPLQ is £275.00 including text book and an initial examination fee. Anyone failing a section of the course (either the multiple choice paper or the practical test) and wishing to retake the exam will have to a pay a £40.00 (payable in advance) reassessment fee.
