Year 9 Entrance Assessments

Year 9 Entrance Assessments

Once an application form has been completed, candidates registered for entry to Year 9 will be invited to an on-site assessment day in January to take part in interviews and group activities, as well as an online assessment in English, Mathematics, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning, Puzzles and Comprehension. The English and Mathematics tests will be broadly in line with the National Curriculum. Early notification is requested if any individual is unable to attend on the specified test date or if the candidate requires special access arrangements.

In addition to the assessment day, a report will be requested from the candidate’s current school. Offers are made in early February.

Year 6 pupils interested in Pre-Testing for a Year 9 Boarding place can find further information here, or details on the St Faith’s Preliminary Assessment can be found here.

Please note the different arrangements for candidates applying from overseas; further details can be found here.
