Swimming Teacher

Swimming Teacher

£24.00 per hour

We are seeking experienced Swimming Teachers to support our hugely popular Swimming School. Our group and individual swimming lessons offer children of all ages (4 – 18y) the chance to learn to swim. Whether it’s their first lesson or completing their 1500m badge our lessons cater for all. Our programme begins with basic skills, buoyancy, and balance, before moving on to all the other strokes.

Due to the popularity of our lessons, we are looking for additional teachers who can initially support our existing team with bank and cover support. In addition, there will be opportunities to teach during the whole week of the half term holidays (08.25 – 12.25 pm) as well as on a Monday afternoon between 15.45 – 18.15.

Over the academic year, we anticipate there will be the opportunity to work additional hours on a 1-1 basis and take responsibility for more group lessons on a permanent basis later in the year.

The Leys is a thriving school with a particularly friendly and supportive staff and pupil community. This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Before appointment to any role in the school, checks including an Enhanced DBS Check and workplace references will be undertaken in accordance with current statutory guidance. Evidence of eligibility to work in the UK is required as applicable. A probationary period will also apply.

The Foundation is committed to fostering an inclusive culture that promotes and values diversity and celebrates the diverse voice of our community.
