Public Area Cleaner

£12.25 per hour

Requirements: We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed colleague to join our Domestic Services department, to be responsible for deep cleaning within all areas of the school site. As a Public Area Cleaner, you will ensure that our pupils and staff can both live and learn within a clean, comfortable and safe environment.

You will follow a schedule of cleaning to include the following:

  • Floor steam cleaning, carpets spot cleaned/full cleaned
  • Walls washed down from ceilings down
  • Wall tiles degreased, steam cleaned and polished
  • Moving all white goods to clean behind machinery, moving communal and bedroom furniture to clean behind/under
  • Cleaning of external school signage
  • Jet washing external bins and outside areas
  • Checking and cleaning high areas for dust & cobwebs

The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday (08.00 – 13.00) and alternate Saturdays (either 07.00 – 09.00 or 08.00 – 10.00), working all year round (including one Sunday at the end of the Summer term 07.00 – 12.00)
