Art Technician

Part Time 16 hours per week| Permanent Post 

Term Time only (34 weeks per year)

Salary £13.48 per hour

Our busy and successful Art Department has a vacancy for an Art Technician. This role is strongly based on assisting teaching staff and supporting pupils within their lessons to create a broad range of skilled and creative outcomes. You will be involved in Studio time, preparation of lessons and the department’s inventory and supplies. Artwork will be exhibited throughout the year both internally and externally and the successful candidate will play a key role in this.

Applicants should have a sustained interest in Fine Art, possess a flexible, friendly, and approachable attitude and have good organisational, communication and IT skills. Experience in printmaking, ceramics and Photoshop will be a distinct advantage.

This is a term-time only position, and the hours of work are:

  • Thursday 08.30 – 18.30 (with one-hour unpaid lunch break)
  • Friday 08.30 – 16.30 (with one-hour unpaid lunch break)
