Looking ahead with the Careers Forum

It was fantastic to see the return of the old-normal Careers Forum to Great Hall, after the inevitable replacement of last year’s live event with an online substitute.

Over 30 exhibitors showed real enthusiasm for sharing their career paths with pupils and visitors, who in turn learned so much from the return to face-to-face conversations.  Amy Williams, International Officer at the University of Exeter, delivered a very informative keynote speech. With all the major professions, services and sectors represented, students were able to gain first-hand information and engage in valuable discussions. Several pupils have already secured interviews for internships and summer employment as a result of connections made on the day. All in all, the Careers Forum was a hugely successful morning made possible by the generous volunteers willing to give up their free time to help others.
