Hong Kong Celebrations

In late October, a delegation from the school travelled to Hong Kong to connect with the wider school community overseas. The group included Head of School Dr Clare Ives, Director of Marketing and Admissions Fane Henderson, Director of Development Sarah Proud, and Vice President of the Old Laurentians Society (OLS) Karen Sears.

On the evening of Saturday 25 October, the team hosted a warm and engaging reception at the prestigious Island Shangri-La Hotel. The event welcomed Old Leysians (OLs), prospective families, and friends of the school, offering a unique opportunity to share updates, celebrate achievements, and strengthen ties.

A highlight of the evening was a Q&A session featuring current pupil Caleb C, who joined Dr Ives in discussing life at the school and answering questions from guests.

Reflecting on the event, Dr Ives said: “It was a privilege to meet so many members of our international community in Hong Kong. Events like these are vital in maintaining the strong global connections that enrich our school culture. Whether it’s alumni sharing their journeys or prospective families exploring our values, these moments remind us of the importance of relationships that span borders and generations.”
