Return to Pitlochry: Film Premiere for the Leysian Community
Date: 23 January, 2025
Time: 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Location: Great Hall, The Leys
All Old Leysians, their guests and other members of the Leysian community are warmly invited to attend the premiere of this specially commissioned documentary, part of the School’s sesquicentenary celebrations. Follow the adventures of Old Leysians Stephen Ludlow, Andrew Holt and Michael Holden as they retrace the steps of their fathers, who were pupils at The Leys during its evacuation to the Atholl Palace Hotel in Pitlochry during WWII. This poignant, uplifting film includes echoes of ‘The Leys Goes North’, filmed in 1940. It features stunning scenery, haunting music and thought-provoking insights into this unique period of Leysian history – including first hand accounts by 94-year-old OL John Bullin.
The screening will be preceded by a drinks reception. We hope that you will be able to join us for a very special evening. Please register below. There is no charge for this event.
