A Level Results 2026
The Leys is immensely proud of the Class of 2026, whose contribution to the life of the School has been felt far beyond the classroom. Throughout their time at The Leys, this cohort has embraced the School’s holistic approach to education, leading within our community, excelling in co-curricular life and developing the character, confidence and skills that will serve them well beyond school. Their excellent A Level results are a fitting culmination of that wider success and of the ambition, resilience and sense of purpose which characterise this year group.
This year, one in six pupils achieved a A* grading, with half of all grades attaining A-A*, and almost 80% graded A*-B, reflecting the consistently high standards achieved by Leysians. Furthermore, a third of pupils achieved at least 3 A grades in their results.
Amongst the many impressive individual performances were several exceptional achievements. who include Sharon D, Aimie D, Petr L, Archie N, Sofi P and David S, all achieved all A* grades. Other notable successes include Shengnian C, John D, Lochie H, Josh L, Joella O and Joseph S who achieved two or more A* grades. The Leys was also delighted to receive notification from the OCR examination board that Sofi P has been commended as a top performer in her A Level Art. Many congratulations to Sofi and the Art Department for this impressive achievement.
The overwhelming majority of pupils – 87% – secured the grades required for their university of choice, reinforcing The Leys’ reputation for academic success. Congratulations to Misha N who will take up his place at the University of Oxford to read Mathematics and Computer Science.

These young people have made a notable contribution to our community. They have embraced opportunities both inside and beyond the classroom, supporting one another, leading with integrity and making the most of the opportunities the Leys has to offer.
As they prepare to take their next steps, whether at university, apprenticeships or other exciting pathways, they do so with the confidence, character and skills that will enable them to thrive in an ever-changing world. We are immensely proud of this cohort.
