Robert Brown (OL 2002-07)
It is with great sadness that we share the news that Robert Brown (OL, Barker, 2002-07), died on 29 July in a climbing accident on Ben Nevis. Robert is the son of Martin Brown, a long-serving former member of staff at The Leys and now the Common Room Governor.
After his education at St Faith’s and The Leys, Rob studied Sports and Exercise Science at Leeds University. More recently, Rob made his life in Fort William, where he lived with his partner, Eilidh.
Headmaster Martin Priestley commented: “Our thoughts are with all Robert’s family and friends, and most especially with his parents, Sue and Martin, and his sister, Gail.”
The funeral will be at Inverness Crematorium at 1.00pm on Thursday 18 August, and a celebration of his life will be held at 4.30pm on Friday 19 August, at the Highland Soap Company premises in Fort William.
