St Edmundsbury Cathedral Evensong

The Chapel Choir sang a very successful evensong at St Edmundsbury Cathedral (Bury St Edmunds) last week. It had been over two years since the Choir had had the opportunity to perform outside the School in this way, and Director of Music Mr Kenworthy said he was immensely proud of their achievement. The pupils did a fantastic job, especially as it was a new experience for many of them.

They performed canticles in F by George Dyson, responses by Joanna Forbes-L’Estrange, and the anthem was ‘Solus ad victimam’ by Kenneth Leighton. Head Chorister Bonnie B is to be particularly commended for singing the solos in the canticles beautifully. The service was live streamed on Facebook and can be viewed on catch-up here.
