Symphonia hits the right note
The School’s musicians enjoyed a day of musical performance, appreciation and discussion at the inaugural Symphonia this week.
Back-to-back workshops took place throughout the day, allowing pupils the chance to perform, enjoy each other’s pieces, and provide feedback and advice. Saxophonists provided a lively start to the morning, before a group percussion session, a brass workshop and finally an hour of woodwind before lunch – including the bagpipes. The afternoon featured strings, the guitar, and rounded off with singing and piano workshops.
Well done to all performers, and we look forward to next Friday’s showcase concert.
