Dale Quiz Night Success
The Dale Quiz Night was a great success on 27 January, with the Lower Sixth organising and running the whole event. Over 100 keen competitors took part, with 20 teams from Year 7 through to Upper Sixth. Famous People Anagrams and Dingbats were the tabletop rounds, with six question rounds of Sport, General Knowledge, Music, Film & TV, Finish the TikTok (thank you to all staff who took part!) and Guess the Staff/Celebrity Mash-Up Photo. The last round in particular caused a lot of laughter! The winning School House team were awarded a Balgarnies voucher, while the second and third place teams enjoyed plenty of chocolate.
The Quiz Night raised £200 to support Mercy Ships, Dale’s chosen Lenten Giving charity. Mercy Ships deploy hospital ships and partner with African nations to give free surgery to those most in need. We will be reflecting on and celebrating Lenten Giving at The Leys on our first Giving Day on 23 March.
