Events
Throughout the year, we aim to deliver an exciting programme of networking, educational and social events for members of the Leys Community, both in-person and virtually.
More InformationTo celebrate The Leys’ 150th year, the Houses are coming together for the Pitlochry House Challenge in aid of bursary places at the School.
Each House is travelling 855 miles, the distance to get to Pitlochry and back, under their own steam between 5 and 26 April 2025. They can contribute their miles by running, walking, cycling, swimming, rowing, or even skateboarding or something else creative.
Each pupil is fundraising from their family and friends for their challenge.
Pitlochry, Scotland is where The Leys was relocated to during WWII when the School grounds were taken over as an auxiliary hospital.
Each House (with Granta and East combined to make them the same size as the others) has two targets with rewards, thanks to a generous donor supporting this challenge.
That means that just by reaching both challenges set, each House team can raise £4,500. That’s £45,000 for bursaries!
Bursaries allow us to offer a Leysian education to those who are well matched to our ethos and values, regardless of their financial circumstances. The stories of our bursary recipients are a testament to the transformative power of this support, enriching both their lives and our school community. Listen to a bursary recipient talk about the effect it had on his life here.
*The maximum amount of matched funding for this challenge is £60,000.
