2025 OL Reunion
Date: 27 April, 2025
Time: 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
Location: The Leys School
Our Sesquicentenary Reunion
We are delighted to invite you to our special 150th anniversary Old Leysian reunion here at The Leys. No matter when you attended the School, you are very welcome!
The day will be split into morning and afternoon sessions, to enable us to accommodate as many Old Leysians as possible. We anticipate that demand will be high, and for this reason will not be able to extend the invitation to non-OL guests. After you have registered, you will be allocated a session (morning or afternoon), for which we plan to group cohorts together.
You may book for yourself and up to 3 other OLs, who must be named at the time of booking, as we appreciate people will be organising groups and making hotel reservations. We would ask that anyone you book for has already committed to the event. Thank you.
Each session will include morning or afternoon light refreshments, a buffet lunch, tours of the School, an archive display and a Chapel service. This service will be an opportunity for all 300 guests to come together in the middle of the day, where the morning and afternoon sessions overlap.
Blue badge parking requests and dietary requirements can be specified when booking. If you have any questions, please check out our useful Q&A section below the registration form. If your question isn’t answered there, please get in touch.
Questions you may have
-
Can I invite a non-OL guest?
Due to limited space, and anticipated high demand across many decades of OLs, we are unable to include guests at this reunion. There are several other celebratory events happening in 2025 at which guests are welcome, such as the Pitlochry film premiere and the OLS Annual Dinner. If you require an assistance companion to attend with you, please email or ring us after booking.
-
Can I book for more than 3 other OLs?
Because our capacity for the entire day is limited to 300 (150 per session), we have capped the number of OLs who can be included in one booking to try to keep things as fair as possible. If you have a larger group, we suggest that two or more of you from that group book at the same time. Please ensure that anyone you include has confirmed they can attend the event, and register them by name.
-
Where can I park my car?
The School field will be available for parking and will be marshalled prior to each session.
-
Can I specify morning or afternoon?
Morning or afternoon sessions cannot be guaranteed, but to the best of our ability we will group cohorts together.
-
When will I find out which session I’ve been allocated?
Booking will close on 7 March, unless capacity is reached sooner. Once booking is closed we will confirm sessions, so please don’t worry that you don’t hear straight away.
-
Will anything else be going on at the School?
Yes! Our Giving Day will be taking place the previous day, with plenty of activities including a Cricket match between The Leys and The Perse, in memory of the first ever game against another school! If you’re attending the Reunion, why not make a weekend of it with your old school friends, come along and cheer our Leysians on?
-
What if I don’t wish to attend the Chapel service?
This is absolutely fine; when registering you will be asked whether or not you will be attending the Chapel service.
-
What times are the morning and afternoon sessions?
The morning session will run from 10 am until 1.45 pm, with the Chapel service from 1-1.45. Marshalled parking (on the School field unless blue badge parking is requested) will be available from 9.30.
The afternoon session will run from 12.45 pm until 5 pm, with the Chapel service as above. Marshalled parking will be available from 12.15.
For both sessions, registration will take place in the Old Gym. A full itinerary and further details will be provided well in advance.
