Congratulations to Jessica N, who was named by the English Department as the winner of this year’s Minerva Essay Competition. Named after the goddess of wisdom, the competition is open to pupils in Years 11-13 and involves writing a 2,000-word essay. Pupils propose their own titles, and explore the connection between text analysis and a chosen subject, positively encouraging interdisciplinary research. Honourable mentions also go to; Archie N who came second, and to Zach E and Emily H who came joint third.
