Barrett House
Housemistress of Barrett - Mrs Elaine Culshaw (Classics)
In Barrett House tradition and innovation blend. Situated on the ground floor of the historic North B building, looking across the Quad to the Chapel, we are also a new House, opened in September 2006 by Dr John Barrrett our former Headmaster. We are co-educational, with 43 members aged 13-18. We welcome, and strive to nurture, talent of every kind. We include academic, music, sport and drama scholars in our number, and we are very proud of their achievements. We won our first inter-House trophy this year - the Year 9 boys' football - and that was also a cause for great celebration! But above all, we aim to be a House where small successes matter as much as large ones, and we enjoy our friendships, and sense of having a home base within the School. Mrs Elaine Culshaw is the Housemistress; she also teaches Classics. She is married, with a 14 year-old son, and she lives in the nearby village of Fulbourn.
We hope you will come and visit us; you will be made very welcome!
