North 'A' House
Housemaster - Mr Charles I. A. Fraser (Divinity)
Assistant Housemaster - Mr Tomos Reed (Physics)
Matron - Claire Cromarty
North 'A' House was founded in 1880 alongside the picturesque Upper Quad right in the heart of the school. During the Second World War, the RAF used it as a hospital. It is a house for up to 60 boys aged 13 - 18 and 15 or so of these will be Homeboarders.
North 'A' is a traditional Boarding House where "house spirit" and loyalty are highly rated values. It is a community where all boys are valued as individuals and there is a strong sense of belonging. In recent years, North A has excelled in sports such as swimming, rowing and water polo. The House also has a strong musical tradition and has produced the Joint Senior Prefect for three out of the last four years.
