Fen House is located on the west side of the School grounds, within a dramatic leap or two of the theatre. It is home to 65 girls/young women aged 13 to 18 - "home" in the sense that the full Boarders live here thoughout term whilst the Homeboarders go home each night for bed and breakfast. Having said that, Homeboarders occasionally opt to stay overnight in Fen and Boarders sometimes find themselves invited to sleep at a room-mate's home. The friendships made here are very close and supportive, with friends becoming like "the family we choose to extend our own."
The ethos of the house is that if we all look after each other, we all prosper. Reflecting the core values of the School, Fen encourages the development of the whole person, recognising the importance of both individual achievement and community spirit. We have girls competing up to national level in their sports, achieving gold awards in drama, winning major design awards and making music at professional level; academically we have our share of the highest fliers in the School. Fen and fun are closely related, but we're much more than that, as you'll see when you visit!
