Pitlochry Reunion
On the afternoon of Friday October 15, 42 Old Leysians, many with wives and partners, assembled at The Atholl Palace Hotel in Pitlochry to celebrate SIXTY-FIVE YEARS ON from when the School returned from Pitlochry to The Leys at the end of its evacuation. The weather on the Saturday was marvellous, the food and hospitality of the hotel superb and the Sunday service moving, but above all the reminiscences were flowing incessantly. Ben-y-Vrackie was conquered again by eight intrepid souls, who could report the memorial cairn in good repair. Several Old Leysians could provide links with the pre-war school with Paul Holden, the earliest, joining the School in 1936. It was very good to see Tony Lees who was brought up by his OL son Gavin. We hope you enjoy these pictures of the assembled company on the Saturday night, when the Rev. Bill Shannon was an honoured guest.
