OL Ramble 2010

The first Old Leysian Society Ramble was held on Sunday 24th January 2010. Seventeen walkers (including Phoebe the Headmaster's labrador!) braved the sharp Fenland weather to complete the ten mile route along the Roman Road (Worsted Street) from Cambridge to the Old Red Lion at Horseheath, where we all enjoyed an excellent lunch. We hope to arrange another Cambridge walk later in the year and, if enough OLs are interested, to arrange some trips further afield. Please contact the Development Office if you have ideas for possible routes or other suggestions.

OL Yorkshire Ramble 2011

Following the Yorkshire Dinner at the Alwoodley Golf Club on 29th April, twelve Old Leysians and their partners joined Rod Ashby-Johnson and Simon Williams at a sunny but blustery Chatsworth Park for a three and a half mile walk around the estate, taking the path above the Derwent Valley up to the Calton Lees Wood with its fantastic views of Chatsworth House, before returning to the carpark and an excellent well-earned lunch at the Devonshire Arms in Pilsley.
