50th Anniversary of Rowing at The Leys

We were delighted to welcome thirty one OL rowers and their guests to the First Post Enclosure, Osiers Holt, for the final evening of the 2011 Town Bumps. We enjoyed the spectacle of the Lysander VIII bump just to our right,  and the assembled crowd cheering loudly as they rowed past. The Lysander VIII had an excellent week and it was a delight for members of the original 1961 crew to cheer on members of the current crew. We ignored the rain and enjoyed a delicious supper whilst watching some exciting races. There was much reminiscing of events on the river over the past 50 years.
