Old Leysian Golfing Society
We continue to provide varied opportunities throughout the year for Old Leysians to enjoy golf together. We have over twenty Fixtures and several members also arrange informal matches between themselves. The Spring Meeting is held in the Home Counties in May and the Autumn Meeting at the Gog Magog Golf Club in Cambridge.
On Saturday 10th March we are playing our usual Halford Hewitt Practice with a Match against Old Berkhamstedian Golfing Society at Royal West Norfolk Golf Club, Brancaster.
In the Halford Hewitt, March 29th – April 1st we are playing Radley at Royal St. George’s Golf Club, Sandwich, on the Thursday at 8.55 a.m. That evening we are going to the Black Tie Dinner at the Club to celebrate 80 years of continued support for our Halford Hewitt Team from Tommy Page and his son David.
The Spring Meeting is being held on Thursday May 3rd at Walton Heath Golf Club. Michael Holloway has arranged for our lunch to be in the Fowler Room and we will be celebrating 80 years of the founding of the Society by his father, Ken Holloway, who was our first Honorary Secretary for twenty five years.
The Autumn Meeting will be held at The Gog Magog Golf Club on Thursday September 13th.
