First column raised for Great Hall
Paul McKeown, Bursar and Clerk to the Governors, donned protective heavy boots and a hard hat to lend a hand in the raising of the frame of Great Hall.
The School's new state-of-the-art Science and Performing Arts Centre is rapidly taking shape. The project team aims to have the £9 million facilities ready for pupils by Summer 2013.
Paul, who symbolically tightened the first nut of the frame being installed by Tubular Erectors Ltd, said: "We hope that the whole process should take six weeks. Then the frame for the whole building will be finished, and we will get a real appreciation of its size."
