James named U16 player of the Year

James Albery (Year 11) has been named as Under 16 Hockey Player of the Year at the Annual Hockey Writers' Club awards presentation at the Royal Thames Yacht Club in Kensington this week.

James, who plays for the England Under 16s Hockey team and for Cambridge City, is the first to receive the honour - and the £200 prize - as until now the most junior catagory to be given an award was Under 18. He has captained the England U16s and played with the U18 boys' side in the UK School Games.
