Craftwork heads 'Down Under'

Keen young craftsman Samuel Atkinson (Year 9) has been commended by the Design Technology department for his hard work at the School's DT hobbies club.

Sam has been attending the club regularly for the last two terms, committing himself to finishing his coffee table (with which he is pictured here) before his family emigrate to Australia at Christmas.

Edward George, Head of Design Technology, said: "He made an excellent job of designing, joining and finishing his coffee table so that it could be shipped to Oz in a container with the rest of the family furniture. We are very proud of his achievevment and will very much miss his positive attitude and diligence in the workshops."
