GCSE results 2011

Nearly 40 per cent of pupils achieved 10 or more A*/A grades with 100 per cent of students scooping five or more A*-C grades, including English and mathematics. Sixty-six per cent of all GCSEs taken resulted in an A*/A grade, and 98.8 per cent in an A*-C pass.

Headmaster Mark Slater said: “I am absolutely thrilled for the pupils and their teachers, who have worked so hard to gain these excellent results, maintaining the very high standards we have been setting in recent years. At the top end, 39 per cent of our cohort gained 10 or more A*/A grades, but we are equally celebrating the superb results of many of our less academic pupils, who almost all surpassed expectations. I congratulate them all.”
