Success in track and field events

Leys pupils who took part in track and field events in the Cambridge County Athletics Championships brought back a haul of medals.

There were golds for Mark Vignaux (U15 1500 metres), Thomas Davies (shot putt), Isabella Coutts (javelin), and Jessie Andrews (discus).

Alex Shea-Simmons took silver in the U17 100m hurdles, while Anna Hay took silver in the U20 women’s 400 metres final.

There were bronzes medals for Alex Holdsworth (U15 100 metres and 200 metres), Sam Meakin (long jump), Bodun Adebayo (long jump and U17 men’s 100 metres), Jonathan Bailey (javelin). Alex and Bodun are pictured.
