Oxbridge workshop
An intensive half-day workshop gave 15 Oxbridge candidates valuable lessons in how to do their best in the rigorous selection interviews.
Impetus Coaching showed students what interviewers are looking for, tested their interview skills and explored ways of improving their confidence.
Melissa Mehta, Impetus Coaching's facilitator, explained: "By demystifying the process, and developing techniques to build their confidence and calm their nerves, the students can be themselves and display their skills and potential at interview."
Paul Crosfield, Director of Studies at The Leys, also attended the workshop. He commented: "There is no magic formula for receiving an offer from Oxford or Cambridge, but it was an important and valuable experience for our candidates to be stretched with some demanding and thought-provoking challenges. They all acquired greater self-confidence and self-awareness."
