Harry's movie debut
Harry Fenn, a Drama scholar at The Leys, appears in Coriolanus, the directorial debut of Ralph Fiennes which has just been screened at the BFI London Film Festival.
Harry (Year 10) got the part after auditioning in Belgrade, where filming took place and where his father was posted as defence attaché. Harry, shaven-headed for the role, plays Coriolanus’s son, Martius. Fiennes plays Coriolanus and Vanessa Redgrave plays Martius’s grandmother.
Filming of Harry’s key scene took two days, but he did his work in just three takes and was not fazed by acting with famous names.
“I really, really enjoyed film acting, it’s what I want to do,” he said.
Coriolanus will open across the UK on January 20.
