Cadets meet RAF
Men from the RAF Regiment, the Royal Air Force's infantry soldiers, found time to visit The Leys School CCF before heading off to serve in Afghanistan.
No 7 Force protection Wing, led by Wing Commander Shea-Simonds, whose children attend The Leys, came after completing their pre-deployment training. They gave the cadets an insight into the regiment's role and what they would be doing on operations.
The cadets met airmen from the sniper and heavy weapons platoons and enjoyed getting their hands on the most up-to-date equipment.
The Leys looks forward to another visit from No 7 FP on their safe return from their tour of duty in the New Year.
