Life is a Cabaret
The decadent world of inter-war Berlin was brilliantly evoked in the School's production of Cabaret.
Directed by Dominic Bell, head of Drama, and starring Harriet Duthie as Sally Bowles and Nicholas Harrison as her lover Clifford Bradshaw, the musical show was hailed as the School's best yet. Headmaster Mark Slater said it was "superb", his view was shared by the many parents and visitors who saw it.
The quality of acting, singing and dancing was impressive, with the last of these benefiting from the work of choreographer Hilary Goodall. Mrs Goodall, mother of last year's senior prefect and Drama Scholar, Jack Goodall, said the dancers had been "fantastic".
"They all had a sense of musicality about them. They were very self-aware and practised hard," she added.
