Swimming Lessons
Our Swimming Lessons offer Children of all ages (4 – 18y) the chance to learn to swim. Whether it’s their first lesson or completing their 1500m badge our lessons cater for all.
Our Level 1 to Level 5 lessons are 30 minutes long and our Level 6 to Level 8 are 60 minutes long. Classes are divided into stages and designed to suit your child’s ability – as they learn and improve they will move through the different levels.
Our programme begins with basic skills, buoyancy and balance, before moving on to all the other strokes.
We politely ask parents and guardians to avoid interactions with swimmers throughout the lessons as this interferes with swimmers ability to concentrate on skills and drills which our instructors set out. We appreciate your co-operation with our team.

All new swimmers require a swimming assessment. Click the button bellow to book a FREE swimming assessment.
We politely remind all parents and guardians that Leys Leisure do not provide a drop off facility at the swimming pool. All cars must use the sports complex car park only. Parking anywhere else on school site will result in your booking being cancelled without refund.
Information for Parents
Despite the removal of the restrictions we are very aware of the continuing need to manage risk and offer activities that are safe as possible at this time.
Access to the swimming pool is only via the Fen Causeway door, where shoes must be removed.
Please consider some of the measures we do still recommend all our participants to follow:
- Asking participants to arrive at their lesson “beach ready” (swim costume on underneath their clothes);
- Changing rooms and showers are available to be used but we strongly recommend their use only when necessary;
- When necessary, changing rooms to be used to a maximum of 10 min at the end of the lessons;
- Use of face mask on poolside;
