Great Hall - Science
Science at The Leys maintains its long tradition of excellence and achievement with around a quarter of our pupils going on to study for a degree in a numerate discipline. The new Leys Science block is a vital part of the Great Hall project and will extend the 1927 Thomson Building, creating three state of the art laboratories of 110m2 for Chemistry, Physics (John Pamphilon Laboratory) and Biology. A rooftop Outdoor Experiment Space will make a range of exciting practical work possible.
Great Hall will provide vital new space for science at The Leys, with flexible facilities that can be simultaneously used for theoretical and practical teaching.
Cambridge enjoys a world-class reputation for scientific research and we believe strongly in taking advantage of the school's geographic location at the heart of Silicon Fen.
