Horse Riding

Whilst the school does not have facilities that allow boarders who are enthusiastic riders to stable and ride their horses locally in term time, we try to support those who do have access to their horses and wish to maintain their participation in the sport, where we can. This might be by allowing individuals who are not involved in the major sports of a term to ride on one or more of the games afternoons, or by giving occasional leave of absence for advanced riders to participate in important jumping, eventing or dressage events for which they have been training. Where a small group of riders wish to do so, the school may enter a team in specific competitive riding events. This has been undertaken on several occasions in the recent past, with some success.
