Trips & Tours

The department takes regular trips for pupils to see operas performed by English National Opera at the Coliseum or concerts given by the London Symphony Orchestra at The Barbican. These are open to all academic musicians and music scholars as well as any pupil who is involved in music-making at the school.

Leys musicians also have the opportunity to perform in local schools and churches and a programme of visits to local venues is an integral part of the school’s musical calendar.

The musicians undertake regular tours and recent destinations have included Northern Ireland and Prague. A large-scale tour to South Africa is planned for Summer 2011.
