Psychology

The Psychology Department is a vibrant and fascinating environment in which to learn and apply the critical knowledge that Psychology provides for all aspects of modern society. The Department consists of two sets studying both the AS and A levels courses. Pupils are often found immersed in debates about Psychology and Science, Free-Will and Determination, and what it means to be Normal. Pupils leave the Department not only with good A level grades, but with a deeper insight into human thought and behaviour that aids them in any university course or career option.

Sixth Form

The AS course involves studying the six foundations of Psychology i.e cognition, development, social, individual differences, physiology and research methods. In the second year, study focuses on four of these areas in depth and major philosophical issues of the discipline. The course has substantial practical as well as theoretical elements.
